The Indian Express : On the face of it, the decision by the leaders of the ruling civilian coalition in Islamabad to impeach President Pervez Musharraf should herald the end of the General’s political career. There is no doubt that Musharraf today is a pale shadow of the soldier who presented himself as a saviour of Pakistan in a military coup in October 1999. Independent opinion polls show that more than 80 per cent of Pakistani people want Musharraf to quit. That does not necessarily mean Musharraf will exit gracefully.
