CM to visit, announce package for hill torrent areas today

Senior advisor to Chief Minister SirdarZulifqar Khosa has said that Punjab government was fully aware of hill torrent affected areas in Rajanpur and DG Khan districts and taking steps for the relief of the affected people.

Addressing in the Punjab Assembly House here Wednesday Sirdar Zulifqar Khosa said that four tehsils of Rajanpur and one Tehsil of DG Khan have affected. He said that DCO Rajanpur has been transferred due to his negligence and a five members committee has been formed to estimate the devastation.

He said that about 95 km canals and 55000-acre agriculture land have been affected, while allroads and bridges have demolished. He said that Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shehbaz Sharif would visit the affected areas on Thursday (today). The CM would also announce a relief package during his visit.
