Updated - See the latest protest pictures here Since it is Impossible to watch live footage on TV due to a ban by the Government on Private Tv Channels, here are the pictures of the protest held by Lawyers countrywide. Government run PTV reported about this protest in the following words, “Lawyers ne kanoon ko apni haathoon mein leenay ke Koshesh ke” , meaning “Lawyers tried to take the law into hands”. The motto of PTV is “We Don’t Break the News, We tell the truth”. I wonder whether this channel was really telling the truth. It seems like Musharraf broke no law and Lawyers tried to break the law, which is in fact the vice versa. Please share your views and opinions in the Discussion box below….. Well, judiciary itself is the most corrupt institution in Pakistan. If you want to have a proof of that, just go to your nearest Session court and put up an application for Domicile certificate and you will know all the Black faces behind those Black coats. Lawyers, being the MOST LITERATE SOCIETY(as per their own claim) don’t know about what the heck is going on in the country, all they do is just to protest against ALL the policies of govt without paying a single thought to the circumstances in the country.
By the Way, Who do you people think will going to take over the country after Musharraf and do you really expect that Pakistan, in the hands of the most corrupt politicians of the world, will be on a winning track???

Musharraf has lost all what he cliams to achieve since 9/11. After this act, all gone wasted. Pakistan has gone back a decade when we had faced the similar situation in 1999. All upcoming business activites are postponed. Investor will now certainly loose faith in this country where even the rule of army cannot avaoid the rule of emergency. Musharraf you really did a big mistake and you have tp pay for it. And InshaAllah you will pay for this.

These pictures are a shame. Musharraf is alienating the very people that he should be courting….educated professionals. Bhutto and Nawz Sharif are both crooks who have stolen hundreds of millions from Pakistan and both should be prosecuted.

I am not going to comment what is going on rite know in the country But I have been seeing the different Television channels of Pakistan for past Couple of Months in which the hosts were tring to convey that these are the politition that we have rite Know & we are stuck with them (in front of that host every politician throw bad word exposing each other that how courrupt they are.) & the host is tring to convey that these are bad, evil, worst politician we have right Know. Know we people as a nation select b/w these evil one’s who is less bad politician as over future Leaders So once again that so called stupid Democracy can prosper once again and they can loot & polute over country once again Ha! Ha! What the F..U.. that is.

unfortunately pakistan army is one of the most shameful army who conquered his own country many times.they dont have morality.our army is questionable because all dictators are supported by the guns of army.our army has the prililedge of surrendering in bagladesh but our brave army fight well in our own country.if things are going like this time might come,God forbid, that some other country attacks us and public support them to get rid of this reckless army.we should look at history of iraq.

Musharraf has looted more money than any polticiuan ever did and we are finding our now so people who blame polticians need to wake up. Musharrzaf has received billions and billions of aid for war on terror- he is so greedy he doesn’t want to give up seat- he is drunk with power and will break any law to keep power. He is a joke in the whole world like when he quote Abraham Lincoln- people in USA say he doesn’t understand Abraham Lincoln’s words to quote them! He is most uneducated man in Pakistan history when he says Pak women want to get raped for visas abroad. Foreign newspapers all make fun of this corrupt and uneducated man who needs to be fully punished by people of Pakistan.
For those sad people supporting corrupt uneducated dictastor remember who gave us Pakistasn- a lawyer with a conscience like Chaudry Iftikhar.- Not a corrupt army man like the others who keep trying to destroy and loot country to buy real estate abroad like Musharaff son Bilal the billionaire of Margall house scheme.

I have read most of the comments. I am happy to find that still there are many wise and patriot people in Pakistan. Especially, comment by Ali is brilliant. Most of us (including many institutions)drift easily and shout all the bad things they have in mind - they would say against there own countrymen; against their own army; against anyone, etc etc. Why they are against? … simply they do not know…. they will with the shout of the day or shout of the month!!! The truth is that majority of Pakistani people lack good analysis, good judgment, lack good analysis of international politics and internal politics - you hvae to be patriotic to understand the situation. Our neighbours are much better than us - opposition and government go hand in hand… their objective - sovereignty and protection of their nation.
Unfortunately, most Pakistani people are “Hyper” - they do not think and analyse…. they just ‘drift’ like a wood in a river!

I am glad that people of Pak are rallying around need to create system and respect for insitutions. We have seen so much corruption under Musharraf who seen that army under Mush has stolen more than all polticians together. When uneducated Paki dictator Musharraf speaks he is like biggest embarrasmnet to Pak. We feel like holding our heads down in shame when he name is mentioned in US or the West. He brings shame to Pak because he talks and behaves like backward man. He is drunk on power and will do anything and break any law to keep his seat. People see need to set up system- not have corrupt General Make a Banana Republic of our country so world can make fun of us. We are not fighting for politicians we are fighting for chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chauhdry . And we know that if we restore him there would be free and fair elections PLUS a check on who so ever comes in power.So first of all F&F elections corrupt might not come to power if they do they might not do corruption in presence of JUDICIARY PLUS democratic leaders are not as BAD AS BUSHARAF.

I agree with you- we are fighting to build stable system and insitutions in Pak and have prosperos society based on law for everyone. The corrupt Musharraf think he is only law - he can make and break any law and loot country - this is Mush plan. He loots the US aid for himself , corrupt friends like Chaudrries of Gujrat, Generals to buy fioreign real estate and son Bilal who has Margalla housing scheme and is occuoying New York Stock Exchange Seat. We tired of Mush think Pakistan is one man show and own poersonal property for looting and pushing. We tired of him taking Pak’s reputation down in dirt with him. Mush is a big joke all over world. Everywhere in world he is thought of as corrupot, despotic dictator who can’t speak sense even if his english bad- his comments are embrassment for Pak.

Those of us who are real Pakistanis can never leave Pakistan. It is our homeland and in our blood. That’s why it hurts so much to see the world developing at such speed and our beautiful country deteriorating under the likes of the illiterate General. When will we as a people learn that we need to develop a system. Have two or three cycles of democracy and learn the whole democratic process. Let the corrupt polticians come in along with the genuine ones. In any case they are better than the corrupt Generals who are looting money for real estate and businesses. The illiterate Musharraf has looted more billions in US aid than both Nawaz and BB. Moreover the clown of a dictator seems intent on dragging down Pakistan with his own demise. Pakistan is more important than this clown and we must always have hope that our beautiful homeland will be all that we envision. I also feel that the military specially dictators have done more damage to Pak than the politicisnas ever did. All over the world politicians are corrupt so who cares as long as system worlks. When army becomes corrupt the system becomes worse. Musharraf has shown that a corrupt General is worse than corrupt politician becasue whole country is in mess with even more trouble and looting.

I sincerely suggest Musharaf to find a safe exit now as things seem out of his control. He has made enemies in his own circle. The main issue is that what will happen after him. Anybody has any answer as the politicians are not even agreed to one point agenda (restoration of CJ and his team), HOW THEY WILL MAKE GOVT they will, for sure, fight each other and GOD FORBID COUNTRY WILL COME UNDER FIRE INTERNALLY! The majority of Pakistanis are waiting for the illiterate Musharraf to leave. Years of corrupt rule and undermining civil society has the whole world laughing at us. We are a proud nation who wish to develop rule of law and institutions. People who blindly follow the uninspiring words of a dictator should ask themselves if their priority is Pakistan and not a self obsessed dictator. Look at Musharraf! He is desperate to do anything to hold onot power even if that means dragging Pakistan down with him. I believe what we have all learned is that a corrupt General does more harm to society than even corrupt politicians. We lose any pretense of making a stable long term society if we continue to focus on the cult of one person rather than civil society with a system.
