PakistanUncut readers can learn something from this example of our corrupt society. “They enticed me to give good food to eat, nice clothes to wear and a TV to watch movies,” said 13-year-old Imran who fell into the clutches of a gang due to his father’s caning. The Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CP&WB) recovered Imran, son of Raj Wali and a resident of Mardan, from Shah Baba gang last week. Imran said, “My friend Haider used to say that his father loved him a lot, but my father used to beat me up for no good reasons.” To save his skin, he said, he had run away from his home and reached Lahore. He said, “When I entered Lahore, Shah Baba caught me and took me with him to his home.” He said one day Baba sexually abused him and forced him to beg or else he (Baba) would send him back home. He said Baba had threatened him that his father would kill him. Imran said, “Despite begging, I also worked as a masseur.” A CP&WB official said, “Imran is in our custody and we are taking good care of him.” Walayat Shah alias Shah Baba and his three accomplices Sarfaraz Ahmad, Javed alias Jaida and Akram alias Lamba had abducted Imran, he added. He said the gang had detained Imran for four months. He said the CP&WB had received several complaints about the gang’s activities at the railway station. He said CP&WB field officer Muhammad Irfan with the help of Naulakha police nabbed the gang last week. He said the medical reports had shown that Imran was sexually molested. He said the gang had been working under the guise of a fake NGO. He said the gang had been abducting children from the Railways Rescue Centre. After getting money, he said, the gang used to hand over the children to their parents. Investigation officer Inspector Taimur said Baba, Sarfaraz and Jaida had been arrested, but Lamba was still at large. He said Lamba had fled from the scene with the rest of the children. The gang members, he said, had been using fake police IDs. He said Javed had a fake card, which said that he was an assistant superintendent of police and Sarfaraz a head constable. Baba’s fake card said that he was the Lahore CP&WB head, he said.- [By Nadia Usman via DailyTimes] Please share your views below…
“The gang not only sexually molested me, but also forced me to commit several crimes,” Imran said. “I want love and care. I also want to go to school.” He said he was a bit confused and did not know what to do and where to go.

Sadly abuse of women and children goes on everywhere in the world; it is disgusting everywhere and I hope that authorities crack down on such crimes. Imagine how many crimes in third world countries go unpunished or unnoticed.
