Wireless broadband will greatly improve the up-time of internet, allowing the users un-interrupted access to internet. CEO of Malaysian Company, DANCOM, Mr. Luqman Kamil, told Flare that the WiMAX has been started in three cities initially Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi, though the service will be expanded through out the country in near future. Wireless internet will fully meet the internet needs of corporate and business sectors of the country.
Pakistan’s first WiMAX Internet service has started. Wimax broadband service will allow users to connect themselves with internet wirelessly. A foreign company has offered this service initially in three major cities.
Evolution of WiMAX, will reduce the broadband tariffs; which will result into the greater growth of broadband users in Pakistan.

Where have you got this news from? I don’t see WiMax rates or such a thing on Dancom’s website.

I could not find it either. You can take their phone.no from the website and ask. By the way wait for Wateen telecom. It will be the best and the cheapest.

When will they launch? I don’t live in any so called BIg cities where they will release first and I highly doubt it will be cheap. It’s Pakistan…

hey dear, dancom is in these days for sale in 1$, so its all tact to sell the company, company’s chief is in these days begging for the money, and you are saying wimax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ummm …. its fine if it is for sale there are other reasons which i can’t disclose here on forum I am neither in dancom nor I am related to it but some how I know the reason for SALE…. and as far as deployment of WiMAX is concerned its expensive man so don;t assume that u will get a 5 RS/ hr connection….. It will gonna be expensive …. I am looking for WiMAX vendor’s these days ….. anyone … any clue ??
