This is a video of a cow eating left overs on the street. There’s not much to comment on. I think it both insensitive and inappropriate to pass judgements on the cow’s role in Indian society.
I have a number of Indian friends abroad and I respect their culture and traditions as they do mine. I know that many Indians consider eating beef and animal meat in general to be horrible but it’s part of our culture in Pakistan. In Indian culture the cow occupies a prominent position. As a Pakistani it may seem unusual but such are differences in culture and religion. Let’s be positive about things in Pakistan and if we don;t have nice things to say about our neighbours- be it in India, Afghanistan or Iran- let’s not say it at all.
